Giving back is at the cornerstone of REIGNE’s philosophy and so we’ve chosen to partner with ‘One Tree Planted’, a not-for-profit focused on global reforestation. The importance of trees cannot be understated; whether it is biodiversity protection, clean water, combating climate change or simply leaving a better world for our children, planting trees is an important solution to some of the biggest problems facing our environment.

‘One Tree Planted’ plants trees in areas of need throughout the regions of Africa, Asia, North America and Central America. Additionally, they are also heavily involved in providing ever-needed education, awareness and engagement on the importance of trees in our ecosystem.

When I was a young child my mother would read me Shel Silverstein’s literary wonder,  ‘The Giving Tree’ and I would be in awe over Mother Nature’s way of giving and giving without expecting anything in return. Some of my fondest memories as a child involve a big old tree that we had in our front garden growing up. I loved climbing the tree, swinging off its branches, having tea parties with my teddies, and as I grew older I loved to sit in the tree and watch the soft sun gleaming through the leaves.

So much of the inspiration for the jewellery pieces I create comes from nature, that it feels only natural to give back to the very thing that keeps on giving.
